Search for sites that are 'next door' to a given site. Website owners can register their sites and select which sites they are 'next' to.
Details: Websites now have neighbors. The SiteNextDoor search engine maintains a database of websites that are logically and virtually 'next' to each other and at different proximities. Our custom algorithm calculates the proximities for the websites we crawl. This proximity information is merged with websites that have been registered by website owners and leased at a particular location next to another site.
What this means for search users:
- Find sites that are similar to a given site.
- You are shopping online and would like to find sites that are competitors to sites you already know about so you can check out other deals.
- Find sites you never knew existed.
- Feel free to just browse from one site to the next via each site's next door neighbors. You never know what sites you might discover.
What this means for website owners:
- Place your site next to a competitor so that users will find your site once they find your competitor's site.
- Place your site next to a site that is dissimilar to yours to attract new customers who happen to 'just be passing by' a site they were searching for, which we refer to as the 'target site'.
- Feel free to choose which sites your site(s) are next to, so you can find the best spot that attracts the most customers, and this does not necessarily mean you have to be around sites that are similar to yours.
